I am experienced in applying a range of individually tailored treatments combining Alphahydroxy acids (AHA's), Betahydroxy acids (BHA's) and Trichlooacetic acid (TCA) creating a multipurpose resurfacing solution effective in minimising the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, age spots, discolouration and uneven skin tone. A chemical peel is an effective treatment to deeply exfoliate dead skin cells and stimulates cell renewal. Chemical peels can also be used in combination with other treatments that we offer at the clinics.
More information about the peels we offer
BioRePeel Cl3 is a revitalizing Trichloacetic acid (TCA) peel. This peel aims to exfoliate the top layers of the skin, increase cell turnover and promote healthy keratinization of cells. This process will increase the production of Collagen, Elastin and Hyaluronic acid making skin beautifully smooth and plump. The antioxidant effect reduces fine lines and wrinkles and neutralises free radicals. This can be used on other areas of the body such as the back and buttocks.
CliniCare GLOW peel is a superficial glycolic and mandelic acid peel effective in treating hyperpigmentation, age spots, sun damage and dull, tired skin.
CliniCare REFRESH peel is a superficial glycolic acid peel suitable for anti ageing and skin rejuvenation
CliniCare PURE peel is a superficial peel suitable for acne treatment and other inflammatory problems and improvement of skin texture.
All peels can be effectively carried out as a stand alone treatment and the number of peels required to treat specific concerns will vary from person to person. However in general peels work best as part of a programme of regular peels and also in conjunction with medical grade skin care and possibly other clinic treatments.
Its is always best to have a face to face consultation with me so that i can make recommendations and explain how the products and treatments will work best for you.
Most patients report this treatment to be pain free, as it is a non-invasive topical procedure. One essential point to take into account before this treatment is, that, we are going to be very active on pore cleaning, blackheads and comedones removal, so please expect slightly longer downtime, and we guarantee it will be worth it.
A chemical peel is a treatment used to improve skin texture and tone. An acid is applied to the skin to lower the PH, which loosens the connections between dead skin cells, inducing exfoliation and stimulating new cells growth. This process causes superficial layer of dead skin to peel off, revealing smoother and more radiant complexion. Detox peel can also thicken epidermis, increase dermal volume and stimulate collagen.
Beautiful skin doesn’t happen overnight, and treatments take time to show results. A single procedure can provide the immediate effect of bright and radiant skin; however, more significant results in treating textural issues, fine lines and inflamed acne could take up to 8 weeks.
Pre-treatment products precondition the skin, accelerate results and minimise complications. Post-treatment products to minimise complications, heal and soothe the skin and then maintain the results. Professional treatments always enhance the results of your home care products, and only highly skilled and experienced specialist can customise your best routine according to your changing lifestyle and agenda.
Peels work by deeply exfoliating the surface layers of the skin, forcing your body to quickly replenish it with new cells. When peels are performed regularly, the skin gets used to this process and begins to rejuvenate itself like younger skin would. To be sure that body doesn’t react to this deep exfoliation as it would to trauma, which can lead to pigment changes, exfoliation must be introduced gradually, giving the skin time to adjust.
problematic skin treatment should be performed every 1- 2 weeks
anti-pigmentation treatment should be performed every 3- 4 weeks
for anti-aging purposes, it should be performed every 4 – 6 weeks
How many treatments clients will need will depend on their skin conditions, types of lesions and general concerns.
In order for us to provide you with the best possible service and to achieve the optimal results, we recommend coming in for a consultation, where we will thoroughly examine your skin and assess your unique complexion. We will take your full medical history and your lifestyle characteristics into account, in order to establish your key concerns and to ensure that you are advised on the most suitable treatment tailored for your unique skin.
In order to achieve optimal results, we use active ingredients and most advanced techniques. However, it is not unusual for the skin to display slight rosiness or post treatment redness, which will normally diminish within the 48 hours post procedure. It is especially likely for the skin to appear blemished after deep cleanse, when treating acne and heavy congestion.
In the rare event some patients may develop an allergic reaction causing temporary rash, which could last up to several days.
I want to ensure that our clients get the best possible care and advice prior and post treatment. Therefore, i kindly ask you to fully inform us of your medical history, changes in skin condition, reactions and sensitivity, as well as sun exposure and any medication you are currently taking.
I offer light to medium depth peels known for their excellent results and safety profile. I believe in repeated treatments for progressive and gradual results, and to avoid the side effects and downtime associated with deeper peels.
Please consult with your physician regarding skin care products or treatments.
We do not recommend our peels for pregnant or breastfeeding ladies
If you have skin issues while you are pregnant, it can be due to hormonal changes within, which, unfortunately, we cannot change. However, I can work with your skin making sure it looks and feels healthier, so that it is in a better shape and ready to be treated postpartum.
Yes, but it depends on your skin condition. It may take up to several treatments to get your skin into its optimal health. We normally advise you to start such treatments 6 to 12 months before the set date, and to have the final treatment 4-6 weeks before the ‘big day’.
As an alternative we would recommend our skin boost treatments, which would require minimum downtime and would achieve your desired results in a shorter span of time.
